What is a diamond necklace?

A diamond necklace is a fine jewelry piece in which one or more diamonds are set along a chain or collar worn at the neck, ranging from a single solitaire pendant to a fully pavé-set collar. The format gives a designer more surface area to work with than rings or earrings, making it the most structurally varied category in fine jewelry. At Valquère, every diamond starting from 0.30 carat is IGI-certified lab-grown, with the same chemical and optical properties as a mined stone. Because lab-grown diamonds cost significantly less per carat, necklace designs that would be prohibitively expensive in mined stones become accessible, particularly multi-stone or larger-carat pieces. The necklace category rewards attention to setting style and chain length as much as stone grade. A well-chosen length and setting type will affect how the piece sits and reads on the body, so those details matter as much as carat weight.
